Shanndon's 3rd Birthday

February 17, 2005 Shanndon Alexander Koopmans came into this world. Wow, it's been 3 years today! So much has happened to our little family in 3 years! My crazy, clingy, whiny, needy, wild, "non-verbal" baby has turned into a sweet, compasionate, loving, talkative, mature little preschooler! That's right-preschooler! Tuesday he starts preschool at a public school! I'm going to miss him. It's Monday thru Friday (public school schedule) 1:20pm-4pm. OMG! He has a school supply list, and I have sitting here in front of me a backpack FULL of stuff to take with us when I drop him off at school. Wednesday he'll start taking the bus!!! Also Tuesday, he has his first dentist appointment.
So today we have had a wonderful day! He woke up at 730am and crawled in bed with us. Daddy and I sang happy birthday. We watched "Sprout" and cuddled with Shanndon and Christianna for a bit. Then ate breakfast, bathed the dogs, got ready for church and went. After church, we came home and ate lunch (PB&J). Then Shanndon opened presents. Papa (David's dad) sent him this 3 in 1 playhouse (it's a house, tent and tunnel that takes up our entire living room!). Carolina and Maialen got him playdoh, a Plug N Play game (his very own "playstation") and a "phlat ball' (disc ball). Mommy and daddy got him a potty Elmo and Dinosaur Little People sets. The kids (all 3 of them-well all 5 really!) have had a blast playing all afternoon. For dessert, all afternoon we've been eating strawberries, bananas and pretzels with our chocolate fountain. For dinner we're going somewhere special-Osaka Fantasy Japanese Steakhouse. We (and Shanndon) love that place. They put on a show while they cook. It's the quietest and most still my two little children are ever!!!! We've only been there a couple times, but MAN, the kids were in awe when we went!
